Janelle Tatum - Ballet, Improvisation, Modern

Janelle Tatum has danced professionally as principal and soloist dancer with, North Carolina Dance Theatre (now Charlotte Ballet), Le Grande Theatre du Geneve, Chatauqua Dance Company, Cincinnati Ballet, Alabama Ballet, Alban Elved Dance Company and The Moving Poets. She has worked with and been influenced by internationally renowned directors and choreographers such as Jiri Kylian, Ohad Naharin, Salvatore Aiello, Ben Stevenson, Christopher Bruce, Ivan Nagy, Jean Pierre Bonnefoux, Alonzo King, Dame Sonia Arova, Violette Verdy, Jon Clifford, Jill Eathorn Barre and Rick McCullough.

She has over 30 years of dancing, teaching, directing and choreography experience sharing and inspiring her passion for the art of dance. Several prior teaching engagements include: Randolph College, Virginia School of the Arts and Southwest Virginia Ballet as well as Artistic Director of Bristol Ballet. Ms. Tatum is currently a freelance Artist living in Asheville, NC and is CEO of Mother Earth Food, a home delivery business supporting local farms and local food culture.
